Shelby & Jonathan – Modern Romance at Bryant Park Grill
The timeless allure of Bryant Park was alight with sexy, modern accents at the wedding of Shelby and Jonathan this past summer, as pops of hot magenta and jungle green dappled a slick black-and-white runner flanked by majestic golden candelabras and sweet bow-tied napkins.
“For some reason fuchsia always looks amazing paired with black and white, so her vibrant centerpieces really looked gorgeous when the whole look came together,” explains Creative Director Lindsay Saltz.
The park’s iconic London plane trees stretched above the garden before a background of glistening skyscrapers in a breath-taking fusion of natural beauty and urban elegance. “Our goal was to blend the classic vibes of New York City with the outdoor beauty of Bryant Park,” says Shelby, who was radiant in a Matthew Christopher gown and shoes by Jimmy Choo.
She carried a classic, swoon-worthy bouquet of pink and cream garden roses sprinkled with seeded eucalyptus and wrapped in a statement peach bow.
The couple was wed before a stunning archway of curly willow branches splashed with clusters of berry pink hydrangeas, peonies, and roses, rooted in a lush skirt of leaves. (featured in our post on Colorful Statements)
Shelby met groom Jonathan through a mutual friend, who spent 9 months trying to convince them to meet up. (“We are forever grateful for her tenacity!”) As for her favorite moment of the day? “There are too many amazing memories to name just one, but we will never forget the last move of our first dance! It was such a celebratory and special moment.”
