Melanie and Graig – Sophisticated Simplicity at Tribeca Rooftop
Melanie and Graig first met in October 2005, as they were leaving the bar PS450 in Kips Bay. Melanie gave Graig her business card before scurrying into a cab home with her friends. They exchanged only occasional emails over the next ten years, even after discovering a mutual friend (a friend of Melanie’s and also Graig’s sister) suggested to them separately that they go out on a date – they never listened. Finally, Graig’s sister approached Melanie at the friend’s wedding, exclaiming, Can you just go out with my brother already? to which Melanie replied with, Go tell him I say hi! So at last, a decade after making one another’s acquaintance, Greg got Melanie’s number and asked her out on a date! After that it was as if they had known each other forever…or 10 years!
…10 months later Graig brought Melanie back to PS450 and recited a poem on the sidewalk outside where they had first met. He then proposed, her answer was YES, and Melanie and Graig were married – in impeccable style – at Tribeca Rooftop this past winter!
The bride wore a gorgeous chantilly lace gown by Mira Zwillinger, shoes by Louboutin, and carried an elegant hand tied bouquet of white peonies & garden roses, with accents of blush ranunculus. The groom was in head to toe Hugo Boss.
The ceremony took place beneath a stunning four posted chuppah covered with an abundance of ethereal cherry blossoms. The aisle was lined with both floating and pillar candles and accented with splashes of additional blossoms.
At the reception, guests were greeted by stunning high centerpieces rooted in lush hydrangeas, quicksand roses and cascading white orchids.
