Adriana + James : Timeless Romance at Battery Gardens
Adriana and James were married in a classic, romantic ceremony at Battery Gardens this past September.
The couple met at a mutual friend’s wedding in Tulum, and while they lived on opposite coasts at the time, they enjoyed each other’s company so much they started dating long distance right away. One year later, James proposed on a romantic weekend getaway in Paris.
With their family and friends gathering from California and the UK, James and Adriana chose to tie the knot in NYC because it was right in the middle. “Since most of our guests would be coming from out of town, we wanted a venue that would truly capture the spirit of the city,” says Adriana, “We also knew we wanted an outdoor ceremony because we both really love New York in the fall.” After hearing about Battery Gardens through a friend, the couple took a peek during one of their frequent quick trips to the city, and fell in love with it instantly.
Adriana chose a stunning bouquet of blush Keira roses, blush La Perla roses, dusty blush Quicksand Roses, and cream Ranunculus, with accents of fully open ivory Spray roses and greenery. “I wanted the flowers to be timeless and elegant and romantic,” she says.
Her father wore an accompanying boutonniere of a single Keira garden rose accented in Seeded Eucalyptus berries and wrapped with ivory satin.
With family and loved ones traveling from opposite sides of the world, having everyone gathered in NYC to share in their celebration is something they’ll never forget.
“The last song was “New York, New York” and I remember standing in the middle of a giant circle of our amazing friends and family, all of them singing along and feeling so lucky to have them in our lives as we embark on this amazing journey as husband and wife. It was a moment we will cherish forever.”
Congratulations Adriana and James!
