Aerin & Steven Celebrate With An Elegant Reception at 26 Bridge
After Aerin & Steven exchanged vows, they led guests down to 26 Bridge for an evening of festivities. The atmosphere expressed the couple’s understated style featuring natural floral décor with a mix of modern and vintage touches. In today’s post, we share the final chapter in their wedding story.
Part 4: Reception Décor, Tablescape, & Vintage Accents
When it comes to décor, few reception venues offer the creative freedom that 26 Bridge does. What makes this renovated metal factory so unique is that it blends New York’s industrial heritage with a modern chic feel. Aerin remembers, “Steven and I fell in love with 26 Bridge immediately. With its spacious, open room, we knew that we could create anything we wanted.”
With her eye for design, Aerin transformed the skeletal structure into a stunning setting conveyed through all white and greenery floral décor. The tablescape presented a gorgeous mix of arrangements. Set in sleek metal stands, striking high centerpieces featured lush peonies, garden and Tibet roses, dahlias, and hydrangea complemented by olive branch greens and silver dollar eucalyptus. Other tables were dressed with beautiful garland embellished with white blooms. Votives and floating candles cast a lovely glow, creating a cozy ambiance for everyone to enjoy.
One way Aerin personalized her reception decor was by incorporating vintage pieces that she had collected while wedding planning. Antique milk buckets were given a second life as stands for entrance arrangements. An ornate mirror was decorated with organic floral arrangements and candles to create a charming display that looked straight out of The Secret Garden.
A hallmark of a great wedding is the cuisine. “Yen Ngo of Real Foods was unquestionably the finest caterer we could have asked for. All of our guests loved the food,” said the bride. Instead of the traditional wedding cake, Aerin and Steven sought the expertise of Magnolia Bakery to set up a flavorful dessert bar. Guests had their choice of decadent sweets such as cookies, classic cupcakes, banana pudding, and mini cheesecakes.
At this point, you’re probably wondering what magic powers are needed to pull off planning your own wedding. “The smartest thing we did was put together the absolute best team of vendors,” Aerin says. “Take your time and don’t go with the first person you consult. It’s about feel and trust. I felt really comfortable with all the people I was working with.”
When asked what were her favorite moments from her wedding, Aerin was quick to respond, “All of it. The day seemed to go by so quickly!” She continues, “I loved getting our pictures taken. Our photographer, Susan Shek, really knew the setting and style I was going for. She did an amazing job picking out places that would make the most memorable photos.” Above all, the bride was grateful to share the day with the most important people in her life. “Having our ceremony in Holy Trinity Cathedral surrounded by our closest family and friends meant so much to Steven and me.”
Congratulations, Aerin & Steven! Thank you for sharing your love story with us!
