Rose Quartz and Serenity: Pantone’s Twin Colors of the Year for 2016
Pantone just announced two Colors of the Year for 2016: Rose Quartz and Serenity. This is the first time more than one color has earned the title. The soft pink and blue pastel shades are already triggering social media one-liners about painting nurseries, but we agree with the overwhelming public opinion: Rose Quartz and Serenity are lovely and of course, right on trend.
If you’ve been following us for a while, you already know how much we love to work with flowers in pale pinks from the barest hint of blush, to baby pink, to cotton candy. We adore the trend toward soft, sweet color schemes, and can’t wait to see how other wedding vendors, and our brides-to-be, get inspired.
One whimsical way to incorporate more color into your celebration – drinks chosen by Pantone color code. We’ve come across smoothies and teas, but wouldn’t Rose Quartz would be a gorgeous color (and name!) for a signature wedding cocktail?

“Colors this season transport us to a happier, sunnier place where we feel free to express a wittier version of our real selves,” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute. “With our culture still surrounded by so much uncertainty, we are continuing to yearn for those softer shades that offer a sense of calm and relaxation.”
Don’t kiss Pantone’s 2015 Color of the Year goodbye quite yet. We promise you’ll see more Masala at romantic winter weddings.
