After exchanging vows, Stefanie and Mike welcomed guests to a stunning reception with décor capturing the magical ambiance of the evening. From the brilliant florals to the gorgeous dinnerware to the show-stopping cake, this was going to be a celebration no one would soon forget. Here, Stefanie shares the final chapter in her Real BB Wedding story.

Part 4: Reception, Guest Card Display and Centerpieces

The evening festivities commenced with cocktail hour. Guests mingled, enjoyed delicious hors d’oeuvres, and raised the first of many toasts to the newlyweds. Afterward, everyone returned to Gotham Hall’s Grand Ballroom where they were greeted with a card display made of two walls decorated with greenery and flowers. Stefanie and Mike enlisted Ceci New York to put a personal touch on all of their wedding stationery. “We loved collaborating with Pejy Kash to bring Stefanie and Mike’s classic and timeless vision for their invitations to life,” the luxury wedding invitation designer remarks. “When it comes to the day of accessories, we always love a floral, so when Pejy asked us to create something inspired by Bride & Blossom’s floral design for the day, we were in. We created beautiful floral tags using our signature Ceci Floral Watercolor, each had the guests name hand calligraphed. It was a perfect combination, and for us it’s all in the details!”

For Nicole and Matt, hosting their wedding on the biggest party night of year proved to be one of the best decisions they could have made. And while the invitation suggested ‘black tie,’ the couple wanted to ring in the New Year with a fun-filled reception. Here, Nicole shares the final chapter in her Real BB Wedding story.

Part 4: Reception, Floral Arch, and Tablescape

The entry way to the Nicole and Matt’s reception was marked by an enchanted floral arch of lush, vibrant florals and greenery followed by wine barrels topped with organic arrangements and glowing candles. The décor had a romantic, English garden feel and looked amazing against Houston Hall’s rustic interior. After settling in for cocktail hour, guests raised the first of many toasts to the newlyweds.

It’s practically unheard of these days for a couple to meet without the help of a dating app. Nicole and Matt were introduced the old-fashioned way. “When I started at my company’s New York office, they sat me next to him,” Nicole says. “We would get coffee. Overtime, we began flirting a little, but nothing really happened.” Well, nothing really happened immediately.

We are excited to introduce Nicole, our Bride & Blossom Featured Bride for December. Nicole and Matt said ‘I Do’ on New Year’s Eve at Houston Hall. Here, she shares the first chapter of their love story.

After the ceremony, everyone was ready for a Hollywood rated celebration which began with cocktail hour – signature drinks were named after the newlywed’s favorite film quotes. Melanie looks back and says, “We wanted to capture the opulence of the roaring 20s.” As important as the flowers, the music helped to set a mood of stylish free-spiritedness for the evening. Here, Melanie shares the final chapter in her and Nick’s Real BB Wedding Story.

Part 4: Reception, Centerpieces, and Sweetheart Table

Custom designed escort cards that looked like vintage movie tickets, which were created by the maid of honor, directed guests to their seats. Along with numbers, tables were marked with signs featuring Melanie and Nick’s favorite movies such as Indiana Jones, The Princess Bride, and The Incredibles. “We also painted the ‘movie poster’ frames. They were originally white $1 plastic frames from IKEA,” Melanie says with a laugh. Each place setting was topped with pins, also made by the bride, with designs inspired by the movie table marker.

By the time the rings were exchanged, it was clear to everyone that Yani and Divinity had put together the ultimate mixed tape of love songs for their ceremony. Yani looks back and says, “Finally, after the kiss, we exited into cocktail hour to ‘Is This Love’ by Bob Marley!” Here, she shares the final chapter in their Real BB Wedding Story.

Part 4: Card Table, Centerpieces, & Hanging Floral Dance Floor Installation

We always tell our couples not to overlook the card table – it’s the first thing guests see heading into the reception and helps set the tone for the rest of the wedding. Yani and Divinity completely ran with the idea in welcoming their family and friends. The traditional décor fixture took shape in a jaw-dropping tree made of wisteria and birch branches adorned with roses, ranunculus, camellia greenery, and moss. “We had heart-shaped origami place cards, inspired by our connection to Japan, suspended from the branches waiting for our guests,” Yani says.

While many wedding venues offer the refined luxury that has come to define New York style, few offer an escape from it all. By this we mean a setting that feels far off, magical, and is surrounded by blooming flowers and sprawling greenery. This is what makes Stone Mill at New York Botanical Garden so special. Tucked away in the lush, natural grounds that were founded in 1891, Stone Mill blends historic charm with modern comforts. With a capacity of 60 to 120 guests, it provides outdoor and indoor spaces to accommodate a wedding from start to finish. Marked by exposed wooden beams, original brick walls, and warm lighting, the newly renovated building radiates intimate romance.
