BB Featured Bride Heather On Her Breathtaking Pronovias Wedding Dress
Finding a dress can prove to be a difficult task for any bride-to-be, even those who have had wedding dreams since childhood. “I am not the best shopper,” Heather says with a laugh. “And I had no idea how to look ‘bridal’ without looking like I was wearing my Grandmother’s crochet.” Any fears of looking like a lace handkerchief were quickly put to rest during a visit to Kleinfeld Bridal. Here, Heather talks about her breathtaking Pronovias dress and bridal personals.
Part 2: Wedding Dress & Personals
With no clear idea of what to wear down the aisle, Heather enlisted the people whose opinion she trusted most for guidance. Everyone met for her appointment at Kleinfeld and Heather explained what she wanted and didn’t want to the stylist. After trying on about eight dresses, she had her “say yes to the dress” moment. She looks back, “As soon as I put my leg in the gown, I knew it was ‘the one.’ I felt like myself. When I walked out of the dressing room, they all confirmed what I already knew. And that was it!”
By luxury bridal label Pronovias, Heather’s stunning choice featured a mermaid silhouette, delicate sweetheart neckline, and spectacular train. Sparkling beading and exquisite floral embroidery underscored the ultra-feminine design. She completed her ensemble with glittering Miu Miu shoes and show-stopping cathedral length veil by Rita Vinieris. While a rooftop ceremony next to the water is beautiful, the setting tends to be windy. Unfortunately, the bride was forced to remove her veil before making it all the way down the aisle.
When it comes to jewelry and accessories, Heather considers her style as simple. But this didn’t stop her from adding a hint of glitz to her wedding look. She wore a dazzling crystal headpiece, which was custom designed by Bridal Styles. “Anything else I wore had to go with my headpiece. Amos was actually more concerned about my jewelry than I was! And he gave a pair of earrings.” Amos gifted her brilliant long petal diamond earrings by Maria Canale. “This wasn’t planned, but my dress and jewelry all had floral motifs,” Heather says. “I loved how everything complemented each other this way.”
Heather expressed her modern sensibility with a gorgeous, tear-drop shaped bouquet. The arrangement featured garden, majolica, quicksand, and cool water roses, peonies, snapdragons, ranunculus, and dahlias in shades of lavender, blush, peach, and white with cascading jasmine vine.
Ask anyone who has gone through it, your wedding is going to be met with some anxiety. It’s completely normal and surrounding yourself with supportive people is most important. Heather credits La Shawn Thompson of Invisible Beauty by LT not only for her bridal glow, but also helping to ease any stress she was feeling. “I was truly happy with everything La Shawn did. And she was a calming presence throughout the day.”
While all eyes were on Heather, Amos put on a dapper showing. The groom wore a navy and black-trimmed tux from Michael Andrews Bespoke and Ferragamo shoes.
Look forward to next week for Part 3: Ceremony when Heather talks about saying ‘I Do’ on the rooftop of the William Vale overlooking the water.
