BB Featured Bride Nicole on Her Stunning Berta Wedding Dress
Many of us look forward to New Year’s Eve for the chance to dress up in our fanciest attire. It’s especially exciting for the bride walking down the aisle on this holiday. The question “Is it too much?” doesn’t apply, and she can incorporate all the glamour and sparkle into her big day look. With her ensemble, Bride and Blossom Featured Bride Nicole aimed to strike a balance between glitz and sophistication. She says, “I wanted to wear something that fit the night, but also felt elegant and beautiful.” Here, Nicole shares all the details about her stunning Berta wedding dress and personals.
Part 2: Wedding Dress & Personals
When asked about her ‘say yes to the dress’ story, Nicole looks back and says, “I was pretty lucky. I only visited two boutiques and tried on about ten dresses in all.” She brought along her mother, maid-of-honor, and her maid-of-honor’s mother for guidance and support. When Nicole walked out of the fitting room in a design by Israeli bridal fashion label Berta, everyone knew what she was thinking. “The search was over. I had found my perfect dress.”
Nicole’s mesmerizing choice was marked by a form-fitting silhouette with a delicate bodice that gave way to a dramatic sweeping skirt. Sensuous and romantic, it featured all-over lace adorned with shimmering beading and exquisite floral accents cascading from top to bottom. She accessorized with Jimmy Choo glitter pumps and tear-drop diamond stud earrings, a gift from her mother.
The bride’s bouquet channeled the vibrant mood of the holidays. She carried an eye-catching arrangement of peonies, roses, calla lilies, ranunculus, and scabiosas in burgundy, peach, white, and blush with loose greenery tied together with an ivory silk ribbon.
Matt’s sartorial display didn’t go unnoticed. “He wanted black-tie, but didn’t want to look like a penguin,” Nicole explains. “Because it was winter, all of the shops we went to had velvet options.” Matt ended up donning a black trimmed, midnight blue velvet jacket with a burgundy calla lily boutonniere. Nicole was happy with the selection and adds, “He looked awesome.” The formal yet festive theme carried over to the couple’s wedding party – the bridesmaids wore chic black dresses and the groomsmen sported classic black suits.
Some of Nicole’s most cherished memories from the day happened before their actual wedding. She reflects, “Getting ready and having the photos taken of just me and Matt … those are two very special moments that I did not expect.”
