Can you tell us about the spaces available to couples planning to get married at The St. Regis?
The St. Regis New York offers over 16,000 square feet of event space. The Rooftop Ballroom, located on the hotel’s 20th floor, boasts vaulted ceilings hung with gilt chandeliers and incomparable views over Fifth Avenue and Central Park. The ballroom can accommodate weddings up to 200 guests. The hotel’s Versailles Room is also an ideal space for smaller weddings or receptions. It features exquisite crown-molding with gilded accents lit by sparkling Waterford Crystal Chandeliers, and a 14-foot high ceiling, which create an unmatched, spacious feel.
Can you tell us about The St. Regis experience? How does your planning and work ensure that your clients have the wedding of their dreams?
Couples getting married at The St. Regis New York receive the highest level of care and attention from the hotel’s experienced team. A personal St. Regis Wedding Specialist is available to each couple and will be by their side throughout the process, ensuring that every aspect of their celebration – from bespoke flower arrangements to custom catering to accommodations for guests – is exactly as they desire.
The St. Regis is a New York City Landmark Building with a distinct history. The venue personifies timeless luxury that defined New York style in the early 1900s and continues through the present. How can a couple make the most of this on their special day?
The St. Regis New York was founded by Colonel John Jacob Astor IV more than a century ago and the timeless glamour of Astor’s vision still defines the hotel today. The St. Regis’ legacy comes to life through its continued traditions including champagne sabering, the butler service and the Red Snapper cocktail, the original bloody mary invented at the hotel in 1934. Couples can incorporate these traditions into their special day. Additionally, brides and grooms may also request the hotel’s custom Bentley to run last minute errands within a 10-block radius of the hotel, based on availability.
Does The St. Regis accommodate a space for the bride and her bridal party to get ready?
The St. Regis New York offers a luxurious hotel suite complimentary to all brides getting married at the hotel in addition to a groom changing room. This suite is perfect for the bride and her bridal party to get ready and stay in on their wedding night.
How far in advance should a couple that wants to get married at The St. Regis contact the venue? Do seasons affect availability?
It is recommended that couples plan as far ahead as possible to secure their preferred date, especially for Spring and Fall weddings.
Do you offer a vendor list to your clients? Do couples have the option to bring in their own vendors?
The hotel can suggest preferred vendors that are familiar with the hotel, however each couple is also able to bring in their own vendors to make their day unique to them.
We’ve had the wonderful opportunity to do numerous weddings at The St. Regis over the years – it’s been great to see how the venue works with all the different styles. We are wondering what are your favorite ways to see the venue decorated?
The iconic St. Regis New York has hosted a range of enchanting styles and some of the most breathtaking events over the years. The hotel is unlike any hotel in New York City, especially in its ability to customize every aspect for the bride and groom. Our favorite weddings are those that incorporate personal touches and reflect the unique style of the bride and groom.
