Heather & Amos’ Enchanted Garden Reception

 

“There was a lot that went into making our day special. The morning of our wedding, we decided to simply accept everything as it was. Standing in the same spot later that evening, we looked each other and said, ‘We did it.’” Here, featured bride Heather shares the final chapter in her Real BB Wedding Story.

After the rooftop­ ceremony, guests gathered for cocktail hour to raise the first of many toasts honoring the newlyweds. Then it was off to the Vale Ballroom where a magnificent scene awaited them. “We knew that we wanted a transformation between the ceremony and the reception,” the bride says. “Our all-white ceremony was followed by the most colorful reception. We loved that everyone was like, ‘What did I just walk into?’ They were so surprised!”

 

 

‘In Full Bloom’ was the theme of the evening and the couple set out to completely transform the space into an enchanted flower garden. Heather explains, “Once we had made the decision, our flower count just kept getting bigger. Amos’ mother has the most beautiful flower garden in Israel. We used it as inspiration for the florals and color scheme.”

Table décor comprised of towering centerpieces featuring roses, hydrangea, peonies, tulips, lisianthus, snapdragons, stock, and dahlias is shades of pink, orange, blush, lavender, yellow, and white. Gorgeous floral runners, glowing candles, and elegant gold chargers and seating rounded out the scene. The mix of high and low elements, voluminous blossoms, and gilded accents stirred an air of dramatic romance about the room.

 

 

The spellbound feeling was underscored by a glistening floralscape of gladiolas, delphinium, and snapdragons suspended over the dance floor. The couple’s first dance was one for the books. Heather looks back and says, “It felt like we were in a dream. Amos picked me up just as we finished and our photographer captured the moment. We were both feeling this immense sense of happiness and release, and the photo says it all.”

 

 

The couple enlisted cake designer extraordinaire Ron Ben-Israel to create their dessert. “I sent him pictures of Rachel’s proposal and my dress and he came back with the most beautiful design.” The 5-tier wedding cake was decorated with exquisite sugar blooms and delicate lace detailing inspired directly from the bride’s Pronovias gown.

 

 

 

As the night was coming to an end, Heather and Amos found a quiet place to take it all in. “We stood on the balcony hugging each other… grateful for such a perfect day and that so many of our friends and family were there to share it with us.”
