Lauren & Lou Celebrate with a Chic Cocktail Reception
After months of planning and work, one of the most anticipated moments a bride faces on her wedding day is finally getting to see how the reception décor turned out. BB Featured Bride Lauren recalls when she first walked into the ballroom at Natirar Mansion. “Seeing the room for the first time, I was flooded with feelings of happiness and relief. The décor was far beyond anything I could have imagined.” Here, Lauren shares the final chapter in her Real BB Wedding story.
Part 4: Reception, Tablescape, & Ceiling Installation
From the start, Lauren had wanted her wedding to have a chic cocktail air about it. Guests headed into the reception for celebratory drinks where they were welcomed with just that. A lounge space was laid out with sofas and mirror café tables topped with pillar candles and a scattering of rose petals. Lauren’s uncle is a graphic designer and made a personalized monogram for the newlyweds. The beautiful design was printed on accent pillows and covered the dance floor – much more on that later.
Encapsulating modern elegance, table décor featured ultra-sophisticated centerpieces of various styles. Communal tables were adorned with a captivating runner composed of bud vases containing a single white rose complemented by floating and votive candles. A second style featured asymmetrically arranged glass cubes trimmed with white ranunculus, mini calla lilies, and hydrangeas. The final centerpiece presented a trio of rectangular mirror vases brimming with dahlias accented by petite arrangements of lisianthus, hydrangeas, and dendrobium orchids. Lucite chairs underscored the polished look and feel of the atmosphere.
When asked about her favorite decorative feature, Lauren responds, “The ceiling installation was the first idea I fell in love with… it came to life in a way that I never thought was possible.” We always get excited when a bride asks us to incorporate hanging florals and making Lauren’s design was an unforgettable experience for everyone involved. Bride & Blossom’s Rachel Trimarco remarks, “It was such a pleasure working with Lauren to create her unique and dramatic vision. Seeing her ceiling covered with suspended flowers, crystals, and ribbon was magical, and completely transformed the venue.” Lauren finishes, “It was the focal point of the room and really brought all the elements together.” Everyone agreed that when she and Lou had their first dance under the spellbinding canopy, they looked every bit like a modern-day queen and king.
Lauren looks back, trying to remember her favorite wedding moment. “It sounds cheesy, but every memory still makes me smile. There’s not a single thing that I would change, and I would give anything to relive the day all over again!”
Congratulations Lauren & Lou! Thank you for sharing your Real BB Wedding Story with us!
