Lauren & Lou’s Breathtaking Hilltop Ceremony At Natirar

 

One of the distinguishing features of Natirar is its­ lush natural setting, which offers an unforgettable backdrop for saying “I Do.” But ask anyone who has gone through it, getting married outdoors can be very stressful as inclement weather is always a factor. “For twelve months, I crossed my fingers everyday hoping that it wouldn’t rain!” BB Featured Bride Lauren exclaims. Answering her wishes, Mother Nature came through with the most picture-perfect day imaginable. Here, Lauren, talks about her and Lou’s breathtaking hilltop ceremony.

Part 2: Ceremony

Arriving at Natirar, Lauren and Lou’s guests shared a feeling that had just been whisked away to an untouched English countryside retreat. After a little exploring, everyone headed to the space reserved for the couple’s outdoor ceremony. There they were welcomed with a sublime scene that could have easily inspired a masterpiece landscape painting from the 16^th century. A harmonious balance of clouds and blue, the sky descended on sprawling hills of greenery and trees that went as far as the eye can see. Lauren looks back and says, “That view is amazing! You didn’t feel like you were in New Jersey… everything just felt so far removed.”

 

 

Lauren’s classically modern style was reflected in the décor beginning with the aisle way. Chic arrangements of white calla lilies, roses, and hydrangea were displayed on Lucite pedestals filled with a cascade of carnations. “Lucite and hanging flowers were décor features that we incorporated throughout the wedding,” Lauren says. Having clear elements also allowed her to take full advantage of the picturesque surroundings. She adds, “They worked out perfectly for our ceremony because I didn’t want to obstruct the view in any way.”

 

 

 

Audible gasps could be heard all around as the bride, arm-in-arm with her father, stepped to the aisle in her striking Netta BenShabu gown. Lauren met Lou under an elegant ceremonial structure that appeared to be floating in air. The show-stopping design featured four ‘invisible’ posts filled with suspended blooms accentuated with a lush floral cornice of white hydrangea, roses, and stock. Lauren’s uncle officiated the ceremony and after exchanging vows, the couple shared their first kiss as newlyweds.
