Looking Back At The Famous Brides Of Spring 2019
A world champion athlete, royal, celebrity daughter, fashionista, and French musical artist all walked the aisle in Spring 2019. The only thing that the nuptials had in common was they took place at the end of the season. Wearing couture gowns to exchange vows in gorgeous luxury settings around the world, these famous brides all took our breath away. Ranging from classic to bohemian chic to romantic, these weddings were exceptional and expressed each bride’s style and personality beautifully. Simply put, this is what wedding dreams of.
Katherine Schwarzenegger
As the daughter of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, Katherine Schwarzenegger is as close as it gets to royalty in the US. After a whirlwind engagement, she married actor Chris Pratt in one of the most anticipated weddings of the year so far. The couple made it official in an intimate ceremony at San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, California. Giorgio Armani dressed both bride and groom. While Mr. Pratt’s movies bring in millions at the box office, Katherine, in her custom strapless gown featuring a fitted silhouette and lace train, was the real star here. She finished her classic look with an elegant white floral and greenery bouquet.
Charlotte Casiraghi
What do you do when your grandmother is one of the most iconic brides of all time? When Charlotte Casiraghi, the granddaughter of Grace Kelly, married film producer Dimitiri Rassam in early June, she honored the past while establishing herself as a fashion-forward bride that we’ll be referencing for years to come. She wore a Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello brocade minidress with three bows down the front, which looked very similar to the delicate details on the back of Grace Kelly’s legendary gown.
Adeline
French musician and bassist Adeline is shaking up the music scene with her singular funk sound. So it’s no wonder that her wedding to Sinclair Bolden, a partner at event company Everyday People, was the most stylish of the season. Based in Brooklyn now, the couple invited friends and family to join them in a sunset wedding at Domaine des Andéols in Provence, France. Wearing a showstopping vintage silk Alberta Ferreti gown, Adeline accessorized with a sparkling floral hair piece and bouquet of pink flowers, pampas grass, and greenery. Her bridesmaids dressed for the occasion, wearing mismatched dresses detailed with bohemian flair.
Selby Drummond
On June 1, 2019, Selby Drummond married Steven Dubb, a real estate developer, in a ceremony overlooking the water at Cap Juluca Hotel in Anguilla. The bride, who is the head of fashion and beauty at Snapchat, stunned in a custom-made wedding dress by Giambattista Valli featuring a dramatic V-neck top and angelic tulle skirt. To complement her feminine look, she carried a petite floral bouquet down the walkway to meet her groom under a stunning white and greenery chuppah.
Caroline Wozniacki
Trading in their workout clothes for more formal attire, tennis star Caroline Wozniacki and former professional basketball player David Lee married at Castiglion del Bosco in the Tuscan countryside. Wearing a gorgeous custom Oscar de la Renta lace embroidered gown, the bride walked down a jaw-dropping aisle lined with white roses and purple snap dragons. The guest list doubled as a roster of celebrity athletes including Serena Williams. Close friends with the Caroline off the court, Venus served as a bridesmaid.
Spectacular, gorgeous, and unforgettable describe these high-profile spring weddings. Each famous bride brought the ‘wow factor’ in her own special way. We are inspired and look forward to toasting the celebrity weddings of Summer 2019.
