Saying Hello To Summer With Real BB Weddings On The Beach
The beach is where it all began for Bride & Blossom. It was Founder Rachel Trimarco’s waterside nuptials that planted the seed, which would eventually grow into a luxury floral design & styling boutique. Rachel visualized the floral landscape for her own wedding. On the morning of, a-bride-to-be walked through the venue and liked the flowers so much that she requested contact information for the florist. That bride became Rachel’s first client.
In the past twelve years since then, the sense of joy and excitement felt as summer begins and weddings head to venues lined with sandy beaches and picturesque seascape views is just as strong. After a year and a half of pandemic lockdown that greatly impacted how we gather and celebrate lifetime events, we are especially looking forward to this upcoming season. In addition to the breathtaking setting, what makes beach venues in the New York City area so alluring is that they offer the look and feel of a destination wedding without all the added planning, stress, and expenses.
To properly kickoff Summer 2021, we are taking a walk down memory lane and highlighting memorable Real BB Weddings on the beach.
Rustic Elegance Against A Blue Water Backdrop
It’s hard to believe that Shelley and Safa’s special day at Gurney’s Montauk took place six years ago. This was one of our first beach weddings and we could not have been happier with how everything turned out. With the sand under their feet and sun shining overhead, the couple exchanged vows under a blossoming floral arch fashioned from birch branches adorned with dahlias, various roses, hydrangeas, scabiosas, astilbe and verdant greenery. And we can’t think of a more appropriate place for a bride to wear a floral crown than at her beach wedding.
Casual Elegance In The Hamptons
In terms of style, the beach is one of the few places where you can get married and put a casual spin on elegance. We saw this happen at Becca and Dave’s wedding at the Bridgehamtpon Tennis & Surf Club. The couple were married in an intimate evening ceremony under a chuppah featuring chiffon drapery and a crystal chandelier decorated with white flowers and greenery. Needless to say, we absolutely loved bridesmaids’ breezy floral dresses!
A Walk To Remember By The Ocean
We always tell clients to look to their venue’s natural surroundings for floral decor ideas. Drawing inspiration from the seaside landscape, Lauren and Will’s Hamptons wedding featured a stunning wedding aisle lined with living beach grass. The couple said ‘I Do’ under a beautiful chuppah covered in chiffon drapery embellished with white hydrangeas, Phaleanopsis and dendrobium orchids, and greenery.
A Vibrant Beach Soirée in Montauk
Dayna and Matthew’s Montauk wedding was one of our most vibrant to date – the couple actually used paint chips from a local hardware store to come up with their one-of-a-kind palette. Their unforgettable ceremony centered on a moongate arch decorated with asymmetrically arranged roses, ranunculus, delphiniums, marigolds, hydrangeas, and stock in bold hues of purple, fuchsia, blue, yellow, orange, pink, coral, and white with olive branches, Italian ruscus, and silver dollar eucalyptus.
A Black Tie Beach Affair
From the decor to the fashion, Jamie and Jasper’s black tie wedding at Gurney’s Montauk reflected the couple’s clean and modern style. The bride complemented her gorgeous Monique Lhuillier gown with a chic, high ponytail and show-stopping Paul Andrew shoes while the groom sported a dapper ensemble from suit supply. After walking down an aisle trimmed with garden-inspired arrangements, the couple exchanged vows under a captivating chuppah dressed in white blooms and greenery.
Enchanted Romance By The Water
Gray skies gave way to a painterly atmosphere of blue and white clouds just in time for Randi and Bryan’s romantic ceremony overlooking the water. The couple said ‘I Do’ under an enchanted chuppah made of sandblasted manzanita branches accented with lush roses, dahlias, dendrobium orchids, delphiniums, and fresh greenery.
Perhaps Jimmy Buffet put it best when he said, “If there’s a heaven for me, I’m sure it has a beach attached to it.” It’s no wonder that summer is synonymous with beach weddings – the blissful emotions of love felt when you marry your soulmate near blue waters surrounded by sun and sand are like no other.
