Sophia and Sam Celebrate Saying “I do” Under a Spectacular Floral Chandelier

 

At the end of the day, a wedding is a celebration of two people and the committed love they have for each other. We love when couples like Sophia and Sam work together to make sure this sentiment is woven into the decorative fabric of their nuptials. For their Tribeca 360 reception, the couple incorporated décor that reflected their personal style, harmonizing modern sophistication with high drama. Here’s the final chapter in the Sophia and Sam’s Bride & Blossom wedding story.

 

 

Part 3: Reception, Table Decor, and Floral Chandelier

Guests headed to the reception where they were welcomed by a captivating atmosphere that encapsulated Sophia and Sam’s luxuriantly elegant style. “We wanted to refrain from color and the flowers to be all white,” says Sophia. “When we were designing our reception décor, the word Sam used over and over again was ‘chic.’ We showed Rachel and Elianna the flowers we liked. Our desired look was different, modern, and high-impact.”

 

 

 

The tablescape was laid out in stunning centerpieces, which were presented in two different designs. Some tables were decorated with high centerpieces featuring lush white hydrangea, garden and spray roses, calla lilies, and cascading Phalaenopsis orchids set atop a sleek metal stand. The blooms were accentuated by a lyrical arrangement of kiwi vines, adding a sense of height and drama. Each centerpiece was placed on a mirror and complemented by four bud vases holding a single white Tibet rose. The glow of votives and candles in square mirror holders added softness and warmth to the display. “We absolutely loved this design. The elements at the base were simple. Then you looked up to see this really unique centerpiece that was dynamic and full of texture,” said the bride. This sense of balletic movement was also expressed in the head table décor. Placed on a mirror runner, a swirling display of Phalaenopsis orchids danced across the center of the table under the intimate glow of candlelight.

 

 

The second centerpiece style featured a trio of low arrangements of crisp white orchids, roses, ranunculus, and calla lilies in clear glass vases set atop a square mirror platform. Elegant glass stemmed candleholders with ivory floating candles illuminated the display.

 

 

 

The couple made sure that their first dance would be one for the books. A gorgeous floral chandelier was incorporated into the post-ceremony celebrations. “Just as we began our dance, I looked up at Sam and saw these beautiful hanging orchids softly moving above us. It looked so beautiful! Then the light would hit the chandelier at different angles and cast a swaying shadow against the wall. This added another surprising layer to the piece.” Arranged in a large, clear acrylic box, the chandelier featured hanging Phalaenopsis and dendrobium orchids, creating a party ambiance that was light and dreamy.

 

 

 

We asked Sophia if she had any favorite moments from her wedding day. “My favorite moments were the speeches. We had a lot that evening. But our MCs and speakers made everything so entertaining and inclusive, which made that part of the night just fly by! And I will always remember when we signed our marriage certificate with our wedding party and parents. The moment was for just us and our family, which made it really emotional.”
