Stefanie & Mike Exchange Vows In A Spectacular Ceremony At Gotham Hall

“I’ll never forget seeing the ballroom for the first time,” BB Featured Bride Stefanie recalls. Gotham Hall’s grand, cavernous space is marked with a 3,000 square foot ceiling above an inlaid marble floor with classical gilded ornamentation all around. Decorating such a distinctive venue can be tricky. One could play it safe with traditional white or take a risk with a vibrant floral display. Stefanie chose the latter and here, she reminisces about her and Mike’s spectacular ceremony.

Part 3: Ceremony & Chuppah 

On the evening of November 30, 2019, Stefanie and Mike’s family and friends gathered in Gotham Hall’s ballroom where they were met with a magnificent scene. The landmark’s architectural elements – filigree brass doors, limestone walls, and soaring Corinthian columns – were paired with flowers in a spectrum of colors, which lit up the room to captivating effect. The mix of old New York style and bold glamour created an atmosphere of intoxicating allure.

Gasps were heard from all the guests when Stefanie, escorted by her parents, took to the aisle. Flourishing blooms and greenery created a continuous path that looked straight out of an enchanted garden fairytale. Row upon row of gilded seating added to the opulent display.

When Stefanie finally met Mike under a show-stopping chuppah, it was clear the wedding dreams that she never knew she had were coming true. Erupting with texture and dimension, the four-post ceremonial structure featured florals in a color-block scheme harmonizing burgundy, purple, red, orange, light blue, peach, light pink, white, and ivory. Luscious roses, mums, hydrangeas, chrysanthemums, dahlias, carnations, stock, and delphiniums, and solidago were matched with verdant eucalyptus, agonis foliage, Italian ruscus, and lemon leaf. “There are no words,” Stefanie says about how it felt to exchange vows with Mike in the romantic setting. “It was absolutely amazing.”

A grand venue, ambiance, and eye-catching décor are hallmarks of an unforgettable ceremony. Above all, it must have sentiment. And Stefanie and Mike made everything feel personal – an honest expression of their relationship and commitment to each other. Wedding planner Pejy Kash summed up what guests were thinking as the newlyweds shared their first kiss. “And then there are those couples with a love so beautiful, it makes everyone around them swoon.”
