2024 was an amazing year for Real BB Weddings from start to finish. Looking back over the past twelve months, there are moments that defined the beauty, sentiment, and joy only felt when two people commit fully to each other. On each occasion, we were honored to help tell their love story, creating a floral backdrop for the first chapter of many to come. What’s so special about the weddings we are going to share is that while all beautiful and set within New York City’s most desirable venues, they are an authentic reflection of the couple’s singular bond, style, and personality. And from a floral designer’s standpoint, we saw artistic plays on classic white flowers, symbolic designs marrying different cultures and faiths, and decorative themes that captivated with contrast and surprise. Please join us as we relive unforgettable highlights from the Real BB Weddings of 2024.

Blooming Romance at Knockdown Center
Deborah and Josh’s wedding at the Knockdown Center was a vibrant and heartfelt celebration, kicking off our 2024 wedding season in style. It was also our first opportunity to design at this dynamic art event space in Queens. The decor featured exuberant, jewel-tone blooms that beautifully contrasted with the venue’s raw, industrial aesthetic, creating a soft and inviting ambiance perfect for a special winter occasion. For their ceremony-in-the-round, the couple exchanged vows beneath a stunning chuppah adorned with roses, lisianthus, ranunculuses, mixed greenery, and camelia. The rich floral palette—featuring shades of orange, blush, mocha, and cream—carried through to the reception decor, where the newlyweds and their guests enjoyed a candlelit dinner, basking in the warm glow of love and joy.

Ethereal Beauty at Angel Orensanz Foundation
The Angel Orensanz Foundation’s historic charm and architectural splendor elevated every moment of Dani and Jeremy’s early spring wedding. Stepping through the doors of the landmark venue in downtown Manhattan, guests were welcomed into a space that felt both timeless and enchanted. The couple married in a traditional Jewish ceremony under a ‘secret garden’ inspired chuppah featuring an organic blend of greenery trimmed with delphiniums, tulips, poppies, lisianthus, stock, and baby’s breath in shades of lavender, pale blue, and white. The ethereal floral theme carried over to the reception decor – tables were lined with Old-World candelabras and rows of glowing taper candles with delicate floral arrangements on beds of moss accentuated by gilded dinnerware.

A Multi-Cultural Affair at Brooklyn Botanic Garden
The opportunity to help tell a love story that bridges different cultures and faiths is one of the most meaningful aspects of our work. For this traditional Indian ceremony at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, every detail was designed to honor heritage while celebrating the couple’s unique journey. The outdoor setting was transformed into a dreamscape, where a striking 3-panel wall came alive with lush, garden-inspired blooms—think golden-eyed peonies, flowing greenery, and a vibrant palette of coral, blush, and peach. Inside the iconic Palm House for the reception, guests were treated to a mesmerizing tablescape that perfectly balanced bliss and intimacy. Soft blue linens served as the canvas for flourishing centerpieces of ranunculuses, roses, peonies, stock, carnations, lemon leaf, and Italian ruscus. The display was completed by the warm glow of taper candles, creating a memorable evening of love, culture, and beauty.

A Contemporary White Floral and Greenery Theme at Guastavino’s
Show-stopping wedding flowers, most often, include the art of contrast in their design and styling. For their unforgettable winter wedding at Guatstavino’s, Harmony and Derrick embraced this idea, reimagining the classic white floral and greenery theme with a fresh, contemporary twist. Standing before family and friends, the couple exchanged vows under a ‘floating’ floral archway featuring a spellbinding ‘cloud’ of hydrangeas, ranunculuses, dendrobium orchids, roses, stock, campanula, and airy baby’s breath accentuated by cascading amaranthus. A luxurious and warm atmosphere set the tone for the reception, and Guastavino’s grand interior was brought to life. Towering ‘living tree’ centerpieces trimmed with hanging votives paired beautifully with sky-high candelabras surrounded by exquisite bud vase arrangements, creating a sense of wonderment perfect for the once-in-a-lifetime celebration.

Old-World Luxury and Romance at The Plaza Hotel
With its grand interior filled with soaring archways, ornate details, and dazzling crystal chandeliers, The Plaza Hotel has defined New York glamour for over a century. We’ve been fortunate to decorate its regal halls numerous times over the years and this past March brought us to the illustrious venue for a magnificent wedding celebration. The traditional Jewish ceremony centered on a breathtaking chuppah draped with elegant chiffon and flourishing peach, toffee, ivory, and white blooms – their bright colors and natural textures contrasted with the gilded Terrace Room to captivating effect. Guests headed to the the Grand Ballroom for the reception where they were greeted by a mesmerizing scene. Tables featured two distinctive high centerpieces: the first comprised of white hydrangeas, phalaenopsis and dendrobrium orchids, roses, lisianthus, tulips, stock and soaring cherry blossom branches; the second featured an elegant candelabra surrounded by lush bed of blossoms and greenery. Warm, abundant candlelight light danced throughout the vast room, creating an impression both luxurious and intimate.

Southern Coastal Elegance at The Ritz Carlton Naples
2024 marked the first Real BB Wedding at our new Naples, FL location and we couldn’t have dreamed of a better venue than the iconic The Ritz Carlton Naples to set this milestone. Encapsulating southern coastal elegance to the last detail, the event began with an outdoor ceremony in the Center Court where a blossoming aisle led the way from a Renaissance fountain to a stunning lucite chuppah trimmed with white and cream roses, hydrangeas, phalaenopsis orchids, stock, and lisianthus. The refined aesthetic seamlessly carried into the reception within the Ritz Vanderbilt Ballroom. Tables were adorned with high and low centerpieces of classic white blooms and greenery, paired with sophisticated black stationery and glass accents. The celebration reached its pinnacle on the dance floor beneath a lavish floral chandelier – a captivating display that symbolized the love and emotion shared that night.

An Elevated Garden Picnic Soirée at The Foundry
The Foundry, a historic venue in Long Island City, changes with the season. When Nhung and George married in mid-June, the hard, industrial grounds had just succumb to a verdant blanket of climbing ivy and lush foliage, providing a beautiful setting for their elevated garden picnic wedding. Friends and family watched as the couple exchanged vows amidst ‘growing garden’ decor expressed with blooming aisle and freestanding ceremony arrangements. During cocktail hour, the courtyard transformed for the reception where dinner tables were decorated with charming centerpieces featuring peonies, roses, campanulas, wax flower, delphiniums and stock in lovely shades of buttery yellow, peach, pale blue, soft pink, white, and ivory complemented by fresh greenery. As night descended, the twinkling glow of string lighting and warm candlelight emerged, casting a magical ambiance on the late spring celebration.
