Black & White Stripes at Maritime Parc

Maritime Parc Wedding CLY by Matthew

Wedding style is all in the details. For Jennifer and Dan’s romantic day at New Jersey’s Maritime Parc, striking black and white striped ribbons accented lush, white and cream wedding flowers. Crisp stripes against soft florals set this celebration apart. Gorgeous bride Jennifer shared her love story and decor inspiration with us.

These days, love often begins with online dating, but for this couple, business networking turned into a modern meet-cute. “The story of how we met is pretty unique,” Jennifer told us.  “I had just graduated business school and was spending a lot of time online looking for a job. I came across Dan on Linkedin in the ‘People You May Know’ section. We had a few mutual friends in the media world. He saw I looked at his profile and started emailing me. The emails turned into a first date, and the rest is history!”

Well-Read at Windows on the Water

book-themed-reception-windows-on-water-stephen-govel

We loved being a part of this charming, book-themed wedding for a New Jersey bride who loves getting lost in a story. Vows were framed by a gorgeous blush-and-cream floral archway. Romantic clusters of blooms included Tibet roses, sweetheart roses and ranunculus, accented with geranium leaves, seeded eucalyptus and olive tree greens.

This natural, whimsical look continued with all the wedding flowers. Eucalyptus berries and passion vines gave the bridal bouquet, composed of spray roses and garden roses, organic texture, while sweet pea and lisianthus added delicacy. A garland of lush greenery and fresh-cut blooms adorned the sweetheart table.

Framed quotes from great authors – from A.A. Milne to Cormac McCarthy – and table numbers printed on vintage book pages, joined arrangements featuring dahlias, quicksand roses, manzanita branches and moss. Illuminated by rustic lanterns and candlelight, the celebration seemed to take place in a fairy-tale forest.

Romantic Jewish Wedding on Long Island

Greg & Dana's Wedding at Fresh Meadow Country Club from Sarah Tew Photography on Vimeo.

Fresh floral decor and time-honored tradition made for a perfectly romantic, Jewish wedding on Long Island in early fall.

Greg & Dana were wed at Fresh Meadow Country Club on Long Island in September. Dana wore a gorgeous gown by Carolina Herrera– it was perfect on her and Greg’s face full of delight at the first look was so fun to capture. The forecast was for rain and we weren’t sure what time it would start, but we lucked out and got just enough time to do the couple’s portraits together outside before it started coming down.

Get a sneak peak at a recent Brooklyn Winery wedding, today on photographer Rima Brindamour’s blog.

Bride Margarita’s bouquet included ivory and blush garden roses, white sweet pea and stock and light-pink ranunculus, with blue thistle and bright pink dahlias. Doesn’t she look stunning in that lace dress by Ivy & Aster? We love how the cobalt ribbon she chose, for her bouquet’s finishing touch, matches groom Jose’s suit. Click through and you’ll see it also matches her lovely shoes!

We can’t wait to share more photos from this sweet couple’s celebration.

White Wedding at The Ritz-Carlton Battery Park

elegant-white-weding-tablescape

This elegant white wedding, at The Ritz-Carlton New York, Battery Park, is a lesson in the art of the tablescape. Steal a few ideas and enchant your holiday guests.

White flowers will never go out of style for weddings, and they look beautiful for any season. When sticking to a monochromatic color palette, the key is to get creative with texture and shapes. Here, we created arrangements of various sizes, featuring hydrangea, stock blossoms, dahlias, Tibet roses, garden roses, ranunculus and football mums. Using so many types of flowers meant blossoms that range from small and delicate, to large and striking. We used a single flower type in each silver mercury-glass bud vase, then played up the sparkle and shine, by arranging the vases along a mirrored runner, with a series of chic, crystal candelabras and small, clear and mercury glass votives. When lit, the overall effect welcomed guests with an ethereal glow. We love the look of all-white linens with that subtle hint of pale blue from the stem glasses

Ombré Floral Chuppah at Tribeca Rooftop Wedding

Tribeca Rooftop Shlomo Cohen Wedding-25

Tribeca Rooftop Shlomo Cohen Wedding-22

We created one of our most unique floral chuppahs ever, for Nicole and Mark’s romantic wedding at Tribeca Rooftop. For the traditional Jewish ceremony, bride Nicole wanted a chuppah that felt both classic and contemporary. And she definitely wanted lots of purple flowers!

Weightless, white chiffon cascaded down each of the chuppah’s four posts. We adorned the structure’s front with an ombré lush roses, hydrangea and carnations, in deep purple, fading into lavender and finishing with white. Ombré florals should have a painterly quality, which we were able to achieve by selecting beautifully-hued Ocean Song and Cool Water roses.

Nicole carried a rounded bouquet in gorgeous shades of beautiful white and lavender with pops of green: ivory roses,, white mini-calla lilies, light purple Sweet Pea, lavender Ocean Song Roses, seeded eucalyptus and velvety Dusty Miller.
