RedBliss Design creates showstopping, avant-garde work like nothing else out there, using fresh tech tools like 3D printing and unusual materials like die-cut metal. Like many wedding pros (including our founder, Rachel), Christine Traulich got into the business while planning her own wedding. Chic Simplicity: a Wedding at Battery Gardens

Chic-simple-wedding-flowers

Katlyn and Phil’s wedding, at Manhattan’s Battery Gardens, was a study in chic minimalism. When we first spoke with this beautiful bride, she had a clear concept: simple elegance, with a black, white and champagne wedding-color scheme and all white wedding flowers. Her vision was well suited to Battery Gardens, a sophisticated Manhattan wedding venue with a stunning water view.

When we design classic wedding flowers within a monochromatic color scheme, we love the look of bouquets composed of similar types of wedding flowers. For Katlyn’s bridal bouquet we used standard roses combined with garden roses. Textural variation kept her classic white bouquet contemporary. Bridesmaids’ bouquets were composed simply of white mini calla lilies.

South Street Seaport Wedding on The Knot

The-knot-chris-leary-weddings

Today on The Knot, a wedding we did back in 2012. What a sweet surprise to see our beautiful bride, with her bouquet of champagne roses, white Eskimo roses, peonies and anemones, and to remember that stunning skyline wedding cake. Unfortunately, the downtown Manhattan wedding venue with that beautiful view, Bridgewaters, has since closed due to damage from Hurricane Sandy. Let’s look back on this South Street Seaport celebration as a reminder of resilience, that essential quality shared by every great city and every great marriage.
