Summer Travels

“Joy in looking and comprehending is nature’s most beautiful gift.” – Albert Einstein

April showers do bring May flowers, vacation planning and rsvp-ing to wedding invites. Whether traveling abroad or doing a road trip, don’t forget to stop along the way and appreciate/smell nature’s unique trees and flowers. When you return, you’ll impress your friends and loved ones with your vast knowledge on horticulture, or just plant life outside of New York.

We love using cherry blossoms for our wedding arrangements. They add such a beautiful vintage/ethereal look for the spring.

The True Story of Valentine’s Day…

Did you know that Valentine’s Day dates back to the time of the Roman Empire during the reign of Claudius II, 270 A.D. Claudius didn’t want men to marry during wartime because he believed single men made better soldiers. Bishop Valentine went against his wishes and performed secret wedding ceremonies. For this, Valentine was jailed and then executed by order of the Emperor on Feb. 14. While in jail, he wrote a love note to the jailor’s daughter, signing it, “From your Valentine.” Sound familiar?

Check out some of our favorite Valentine’s Day arrangements.
