After the rooftop ceremony, guests gathered for cocktail hour to raise the first of many toasts honoring the newlyweds. Then it was off to the Vale Ballroom where a magnificent scene awaited them. “We knew that we wanted a transformation between the ceremony and the reception,” the bride says. “Our all-white ceremony was followed by the most colorful reception. We loved that everyone was like, ‘What did I just walk into?’ They were so surprised!”

When Heather first met Amos the Thursday before Memorial Day in 2008, she knew there was something special about him. “I work in the spirits industry and was doing a tasting in the Hamptons during the holiday weekend. I told him that in order for us to have a first date, he would have to get himself a hotel room out there. Finding a hotel in the Hamptons around Memorial Day is near impossible, especially on such short notice. But, somehow, he did it! That really gave me insight into the kind of person Amos is.”

“I knew that I wanted a big, princess type dress, but without any bling and sparkle,” says Sara. Her search led her to BHLDN where she found a breathtaking design meeting all her criteria. The silhouette featured a simple lace top, fitted waist, and diaphanous, layered tulle skirt. “I knew it was the perfect dress for me when I put it on and couldn’t stop smiling,” she remembers.
