When Heather first met Amos the Thursday before Memorial Day in 2008, she knew there was something special about him. “I work in the spirits industry and was doing a tasting in the Hamptons during the holiday weekend. I told him that in order for us to have a first date, he would have to get himself a hotel room out there. Finding a hotel in the Hamptons around Memorial Day is near impossible, especially on such short notice. But, somehow, he did it! That really gave me insight into the kind of person Amos is.”

A breathtaking scene awaited guests as they took their seats for Ashley and Joe’s wedding. The ceremony was set to take place at the Pergola on the Great Lawn, which over looks the Hudson River. Though the afternoon was overcast, the atmospheric grey skies seemed to only highlight Wave Hill’s lush, natural setting.

If you are an artist, the chances of meeting another artist are pretty good. But what are the chances that the other art-minded person is your soul mate? Kate looks back, “That date is so memorable for the both of us and brings back a feeling that is unexplainable.
