When asked to describe her style, BB Featured Bride Joye takes a moment and then answers, “Modern chic with a touch of romanticism.” Having a sense of what she wanted to wear at her wedding, Joye extended her research to designers she hadn’t heard of before. She came across Pallas Collective, a luxury label based in Australia. “I loved their designs,” the bride says, “But didn’t think they were available in the US. Soon after however, I found out they were having a trunk show in NYC and made an appointment.”

Joye and Scott ran in the same circle of friends during college, but they didn’t start dating until after graduation. “I finally caved and let him take me out,” Joye says with a laugh. They clicked immediately and soon realized their connection went far deeper than anything they had experienced during those casual get-togethers at school. “I can honestly say that I wanted Scott in my life for the long-haul from the beginning. The beach is where it all began for Bride & Blossom. It was Founder Rachel Trimarco’s waterside nuptials that planted the seed, which would eventually grow into a luxury floral design & styling boutique. Rachel visualized the floral landscape for her own wedding. On the morning of, a-bride-to-be walked through the venue and liked the flowers so much that she requested contact information for the florist. That bride became Rachel’s first client.

In the past twelve years since then, the sense of joy and excitement felt as summer begins and weddings head to venues lined with sandy beaches and picturesque seascape views is just as strong. After a year and a half of pandemic lockdown that greatly impacted how we gather and celebrate lifetime events, we are especially looking forward to this upcoming season. Guests were buzzing after Cara and Vince’s exchanged vows. Not only had they just witnessed a beautiful ceremony, but their happy hour menu included a strongly caffeinated drink selection. “Vince is Italian and takes his coffee very seriously. He hired Top Hat Espresso to serve an array of coffee and gelato,” the bride says. “Everyone was really happy. It was a unique way to start the second part of our wedding.” Here, Cara shares the final chapter in her Real BB Wedding story.

Reception, Centerpieces, and Entertainment

After enjoying cocktails and coffee, guests gathered into the reception space where they were greeted with a breathtaking scene. Trimmed with twinkling lights, the clear top tent gave way to the dark sky above, underscoring the enchanted atmosphere all around. The tablescape featured various centerpieces. Simple yet sophisticated, the first style was composed of white Phalaenopsis orchids illuminated by stemmed glass candles. “The orchid centerpieces were my favorite,” Cara remarks. “They made the tables pop with such elegance.” The second style was composed of an exquisite trio of cluster arrangements showcasing burgundy ascot and baccara roses and cream majolica spray roses. Cara, who is Irish and grew up Irish dancing, made the table signs, paying homage to her and Vincent’s family heritages. “Blending the two countries, the tables were named after our favorite places, some we have traveled to and some we hope to visit, in Ireland and Italy.”
