Part 2: Gown & Personals

When we asked Marianna about saying yes to the dress, she told us, “I knew I wanted a classic Vera Wang sweetheart ball gown. I only tried on four dresses, and the last dress was the one I went with. I immediately fell in love with the classic design and long bridal train. I knew it was the perfect dress because I felt like a princess.” Not many brides-to-be have it this easy in the hunt for a wedding dress. But take just one look at Marianna wearing her breathtaking Dagmar gown by Vera Wang and you can tell that it was meant to be. She completed her bridal attire with a sweeping cathedral veil, also from Vera Wang’s Iconic Wedding Collection.

Gorgeous Decor Ideas With Anemone Wedding Flowers

As one of our favorite wedding flowers of the season, we thought it would be nice to feature the anemone as the first BB Bloom in Spotlight for 2018. With its striking, black center and delicate petals, it’s no wonder brides choose to incorporate the anemone into wedding floral decor. And as designers, we love this bloom’s versatility. From simple and classic to whimsical garden to romantic elegance, the anemone can be used in just about any style of wedding. It offers a spectrum of pretty colors ranging from crisp white (the most popular) and blush to purple, burgundy, red, and pink.

Make A Checklist

The average engagement lasts 16 months. You won’t have an exact date set in stone until you confirm a venue, but it’s smart to have an idea of which month/season in which you want to get married. From there, you can work out a checklist with a timetable to make sure important things like making a guest list, choosing your bridal party, and securing vendors are taken care of. A quick Google search will uncover a bevy of wedding checklists – we like this detailed one from Perfect Wedding Guide.

Something Blue: A Creative Take on Wedding Tradition

Dear Brides-to-Be, you are about to be handed a long list of wedding traditions, which you’ll be expected to take care of. And at the top is “Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.” The first three clauses of the bridal good luck rhyme are easy to nail – family and friends will be showering you with heirlooms and tokens once the engagement news breaks. But that last one, something blue, can be a little tricky. And what does it even mean exactly?

We did some digging and something blue stands for “purity, love, and fidelity,” principles you definitely want going in to your wedding day. For the bride in need of inspiration for her something blue, here are some of our favorite creative takes on the wedding tradition.
