This time last year, no one could have predicted what 2020 had in store for us. We rang in the New Year excited for a new chapter of Real BB Weddings. This all quickly changed in the face of a worldwide pandemic. It became clear that weddings, perhaps the most social event of them all, would be greatly affected as our new reality unfolded by the day.

If anything, 2020 has forced us to change perspective and consider what is most important and valuable in our lives. The handful of weddings we did are a testament to this new sentiment. ‘Home is where the heart is.” While the saying is true, our relationship to ‘home’ has drastically changed this past year due to Covid-19. You can love the apartment, house, or condo in which you live, but having to carry out every aspect of your professional and personal life day in the same confined space day after day takes a toll. The reprieve that the holiday season usually offers from the stresses of work and life such as traveling and joyous visits with friends and family are not on the itinerary for 2020. This being said, we still have much for which to be grateful. If you haven’t made a list yet, try jotting down just a few lines detailing what you are thankful for – the exercise helps to shift perspective and uplift the spirit – guaranteed.
