Running doesn’t top Gary’s list of favorite physical activities. So when he asked Jacqueline to put in a couple of miles after work in Central Park, she thought something was up. Her suspicion grew even more when Gary greeted her with a smile, like he was actually looking forward to their evening run. Taken by excitement, Jacqueline patted him down while his back was turned, looking for a ring box. She found nothing and felt a little silly. “I can’t believe you patted me down!” Gary joked the entire cab ride to the park.

When I said no, he asked if I was at the party with anyone. Adam took me out dancing when the party was over, and we both felt an instant connection. Five weeks later we were in love and inseparable, one year after that we were engaged, and one year after that we were preparing to walk down the aisle!
