When asked to describe her style, BB Featured Bride Joye takes a moment and then answers, “Modern chic with a touch of romanticism.” Having a sense of what she wanted to wear at her wedding, Joye extended her research to designers she hadn’t heard of before. She came across Pallas Collective, a luxury label based in Australia. “I loved their designs,” the bride says, “But didn’t think they were available in the US. Soon after however, I found out they were having a trunk show in NYC and made an appointment.”

The unmatched allure of Gurney’s Montauk is the picturesque beach setting, which offers a breathtaking backdrop for saying “I Do.” From their first vacation as a couple in Puerto Rico to getting engaged in Miami, Dayna and Matthew shared their most special moments together near the water. “Gurney’s was our dream spot for getting married,” Dayna says. With her vision in sight, she set out to find a dress that encapsulated her sense of style – modern, feminine, and sophisticated. Part 2: Dress, Bouquet, & Shoes

The process of finding a dress was still full of surprises for Dayna. She recalls, “I started pinning dresses right after we became engaged. I’m a shopping addict but trying on wedding dresses was a totally different experience.” Her mother came in from Boston to help and they devoted an entire weekend to the endeavor. The day before her official appointments, they did a trial run, stopping into one store to try on a few looks. “I recommend this to everyone – it was so helpful to see how the different styles looked and felt.”
