Wedding Favors Ideas That Double As Beautiful Decor

When it comes to designing a wedding, brides dream about a day where every decorative flourish is flawlessly executed. At the same time, it’s refreshing to add touches that are little unexpected, fun, and show your personality. One way to show your creative side is by incorporating wedding favors into the decorative scenery. You’ll be amazed by how little details like vibrant packaging, festive colored treats, and thoughtful keepsakes work to enhance both the look and feel of your wedding.

Wedding Favor Flower Centerpiece

Of course you’ll want to save some of your wedding flowers, but not all of them! Encourage guests to take home floral centerpieces by placing blooms in charming vintage cans or in vases displayed on a cake stand.

Geometric Glamour at the Green Building

Ashley and Tiffany’s Brooklyn wedding at the Green Building featured geometric elements softened by a pastel palette. Their love was felt by the whole room as they tied the knot under a gorgeous suspended floral chandelier!

Ashley and Tiffany were amazing clients to work with! Tiffany had a very specific vision for her wedding decor, and carried elements throughout the whole affair that brought a beautiful softness to Brooklyn’s Green Building. The former brass foundry was built in 1889 and then converted into an event venue. Tiffany recalls how she and Rachel planned the florals for the space. “The venue is very rustic and I knew softening the floral color would bring a romantic feel to the space. I wanted the colors to be soft, however I left everything up to the creative direction of Rachel and her team as far as type of flowers would be used.”

Guests were treated to a stunning suspended floral chandelier under which Ashley and Tiffany exchanged vows. The rounded chandelier was created using lush and voluminous hydrangea for the base, several varieties of white, cream, blush and pink roses, pink carnations, cafe au lait dahlias and greenery.

Tiffany and Ashley carried geometric shapes throughout several of the wedding details to bring cohesion to the decor. It started with a gorgeous geometric invitation by Amanda Day Rose. Interlocking triangles and squares were repeated on table numbers, menus, signage, the wedding cake. For the tablescape, we designed a mixture of pastel toned cafe au lait dahlias, ranunculus, garden roses and Phalaenopsis orchids in terrarium and square glass vases that created a rustic feel across their long tables.

Tiffany recalls that her favorite moment of the night was actually after the wedding! Close family and friends of the brides went on a spontaneous karaoke outing. “Singing in our wedding attire was a perfect end to the night!”

Part 4: Reception Décor, Tablescape, & Vintage Accents

When it comes to décor, few reception venues offer the creative freedom that 26 Bridge does. What makes this renovated metal factory so unique is that it blends New York’s industrial heritage with a modern chic feel. Aerin remembers, “Steven and I fell in love with 26 Bridge immediately. With its spacious, open room, we knew that we could create anything we wanted.”

Rachel’s passion for flowers and sharp business aptitude led her to establish Bride & Blossom in 2008. Social media was just getting started. A new business couldn’t rely on posting eye-catching photos with snappy captions to attract attention and gain visibility. Rather, quality work, commitment, and maintaining excellent client relations were required. This was especially true in the wedding industry where goods and services are valued for their visual appeal and ability to meet clients’ aesthetic tastes.

Part 2: Wedding Dress & Personals

Many brides-to-be approach the topic of wedding dresses with apprehension, knowing that the process can take weeks, even months in some cases. When asked about her experience, Aerin said, “ I was enjoying planning for my wedding so much that when it came time to find a dress, I was beyond ecstatic.” Early in her search, she came across a Pronovias dress in a bridal magazine. “My heart was set on it,” she recalls.” With fingers crossed, Aerin made an appointment with the designer’s flagship store in Manhattan to try the dress on in person. She remembers that special moment of looking in the mirror, “The dress fit effortlessly and I felt like it was meant to be.” Made of crepe and tulle fabric, the breathtaking Pronovias design features exquisite gemstone embellishment along the back trailed by a sweeping skirt.
