To say that 2022 has been an unprecedented year for weddings would be an understatement. It was predicted that more couples would say “I Do” in 2022 than in any other year since 1984. While exact numbers aren’t in yet, our sense is that we’re close to hitting the mark. As wedding florists, we saw firsthand how getting married in a post-pandemic moment influenced our clients’ decisions. Perhaps it had to do with the slowing down and reflection that happened during 2020-2021, but couples were more willing than ever before to take risks and be creative when it came to flowers and decor, attire, food, and entertainment. Expectations about everything being ‘perfect’ gave way to being fully present during this once-in-a-lifetime event. While many of the weddings we are about to highlight look spectacular on an aesthetic level, upon further inspection, you will see that they are speckled with unique and meaningful details that are a sincere expression of the couple’s love and personality. Please join us as we look back at the Real BB Weddings of 2022.

There are certain elements of wedding decor that are made to not only look pretty, but serve a functional purpose as well. One such element is the presentation of escort cards and seating charts. Traditionally, escort cards are placed neatly on a table topped with an eye-catching arrangement. After cocktail hour, guests pick up the cards and are directed to their tables. This conventional setup and process is tried and true. However, what we have noticed most recently is that couples are requesting unique and ‘out-of-the box’ designs for their escort cards and seating charts. It’s the first decorative piece people see as they head to the reception after all, and sets the vibe for the rest of the night. And even if you are planning a timelessly classic wedding, this is one area that allows room for putting a personal and creative spin on decor. Feeling inspired? Read on for unique escort card and seating chart displays guaranteed to impress your guests. Read More

We love cultivated floral decor. But heading into summer, we can’t help but fall under the spell of wildflowers. Charming, colorful, and natural, they add a fresh, carefree feel to the weddingscape. Your first assumption may be that wildflowers can only be used in ‘boho,’ ‘rustic,’ ‘country,’ or ‘organic’ decorative themes. But as you will see, wildflowers can be worked into just about every wedding style from clean and minimalist to classic and elegant. The big question here is, “How ‘wild’ do you want to go?” Keep in mind, you don’t have to make a full commitment to the theme. Adding just few wildflowers to more ‘traditional’ wedding blossoms is all that is needed to bring a sense of lighthearted joy to your big day.
